Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment experience for a 13-week contract.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting treating orthopedic, neurologic, geriatric, and pediatric populations
- Schedule options include 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) or 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM), Monday–Friday
- 40 hours per week with no call or weekend requirements
- Patient scheduling of 1 patient per hour, primarily 1:1 therapy with rare double-booking
- Approximately 2 evaluations scheduled per day
Requirements
- NC Board of Physical Therapy license required if applicable
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- EPIC experience preferred
- Skilled in assessment, gait training, therapeutic modalities, and adaptive/assistive device use
- Experience with orthopedic conditions including joint replacements, spinal conditions, and post-op rehabilitation
- Experience in patient and family education, home exercise programs, and safety/injury prevention
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include comprehensive patient evaluation, treatment planning, and progress documentation
- Provides direction and support to physical therapist assistants, techs, and students
- Collaborates with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and communicates regularly with physicians
- Mentors students and new staff, and participates in continuing education and quality improvement activities
- Facilitates patient mobility using safe patient handling techniques and equipment
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- All requested time off must be disclosed prior to submission for consideration
