Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ years of outpatient experience and ME state licensure for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Outpatient PT setting located within the hospital, primarily treating outpatients with occasional coverage for ED consults, day surgery patients, or inpatients
• Patient population includes mostly adults and school-aged children with non-pediatric development diagnoses
• Case types include post-ortho, post-spinal surgery, geriatric, work injury, and neurological imbalance patients
• 60-minute bookings for both evaluations and treatments, following a single patient care model
• Average caseload of 8-10 patients per day, subject to change
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Shift schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 0800-1630
• No weekend rotation or on-call requirements
• Rare possibility of floating to inpatient coverage located one floor apart in the same building

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience required
• Compact or ME state license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or higher required
• Manual therapy and exercise science skills required
• Experience providing patient education, including on adaptive equipment such as walkers, canes, and crutches

Additional Information

• Department is staffed with 3 PTs and has an on-site supervisor available on weekdays
• Orientation includes NEO plus 2-3 days of department-specific skillset training, depending on experience level
• Rehab department closes on 6 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day); clinician expected to work all other scheduled holidays
• RTO requires manager approval
• Business casual or scrub attire accepted
