Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of OR experience and a MN RN license.

Details

• Acute care Level 3 trauma facility Operating Room unit
• Handles 16-18 cases per day including ortho total joints, ENT, eye, general surgery/bariatric, podiatry, GI-endo, GYN, urology, and laparoscopic cases
• Treats both adult and pediatric patients
• Uses Stryker endo systems and DePuy hip equipment
• No robotics; minimally invasive surgery program available
• Endo cases including ERCPs performed in the OR by general surgeons
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift with flexible 0600-1000 start, working 8 or 10-hour shifts (4x10 schedule)
• Call rotation required approximately every 4th weekend and once weekly, with a 30-minute return time
• Fast-paced environment with quick turnovers requiring strong time management

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be able to circulate; scrub skills preferred but not mandatory
• Experience with pre/post-op and PACU care preferred
• Reliable personal transportation required due to lack of local ride-sharing or public transit options
