Description
American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer for MFM/High Risk imaging, requiring RDMS-OB/GYN certification and strong OBGYN scanning skills.
Details
- Acute care clinic setting within Radiology - Sonographer MFM/High Risk department
- Two scanners available in the office
- Performs BPP, growth, and dating studies
- Averages 8-10 scans/studies per day
- No floating to other departments required
- Uses GE equipment, EPIC, and Viewpoint systems
- Monday through Friday, 0800-1630 schedule
- No weekends, holidays, or call requirements
Requirements
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN (RDMS-OB/GYN) via ARDMS required
- OBGYN certification through ARDMS preferred
- License required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferred, though negotiable for candidates able to perform MFM scans
- Strong OBGYN scanning skills required
- Nuchal translucency experience required
- MFM experience preferred
- Must be capable of working independently
- Experience with EPIC and Viewpoint systems needed
Additional Information
- Reports to Clinic Manager and coordinates with MFM team
- No in-house radiologist; MFM specialists available for consultation
- Does not require IV starts
- No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) used in this role
- Orientation includes shadowing with a full-time tech to learn department workflows
- Black scrubs are provided
- Local candidates are not accepted; radius rules apply based on facility
