Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring Cath Lab and Angio experience with scrub proficiency.
Details
- Acute care Level I Trauma teaching hospital setting
- Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology work settings
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call responsibilities include approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks
- Uses Epic for charting
- Uses Philips equipment and PACS system
- Floating within site and across the system may be required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Cath Lab and Angio with scrub experience
- BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R certifications required
- Oregon State license (OBMI) required if applicable
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including stent placement, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and pacemaker insertion
- Skilled in sterile technique and maintaining a sterile field
- Experience recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias and interpreting dysrhythmias
- One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required
- Epic Test-Out Module completion required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment set up, prepping access sites, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
- Stocks and manages supplies as part of procedural responsibilities
- Scrubs provided for this specialty
- Must not wear all black, dark green, or camo scrubs if not provided
- Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
- Accepts local travelers
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO during the first 2 weeks of assignment
- Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Required to complete assigned education within one week of starting assignment
