Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring at least 2 years of CVICU experience with post open heart fresh case recovery, IABP, and Impella skills.

Details

• CVICU setting caring for post-cardiac surgery, cardiac catheterization/intervention, and TAVR patients
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Floating required to ICU, IMC, helping hands, and Ridgewood Observation Unit as needed
• Meditech charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required with no history of clinical or professional cancellations
• Experience with post open heart fresh case recovery, IABP, and Impella required
• ECMO and CRRT experience strongly preferred
• Skilled in arterial line management, central/PICC line care, IV therapy, and blood product administration
• Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Experience with CVVHD/CRRT and chronic/acute renal failure care
• Skilled in cardiac drip titration, vasoactive drip titration, and dysrhythmia management
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia Exam with a minimum score of 80% and no retakes permitted
• Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination series and booster required
• One supervisory/manager reference dated within one year of assignment start required
• Current Nursys verification required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular patients, including post-cardiac surgery and cardiac intervention cases
• Support patients requiring ECMO, IABP, and Impella device management
• Complete pre-start lab work within two business days of offer acceptance to avoid assignment cancellation
• Complete required orientation modules, with additional annual modules as needed for specialty
• Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel assignment
• Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at the local rate
• Candidates with New Jersey work history in the past 7 years must provide verified employer details for compliance review
