Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT and AHA BLS certification.

Details

• MRI Tech unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Work settings include Adult Acute Care, Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, ER/Trauma, Pediatric Acute Care, and Pediatric Outpatient
• Equipment includes GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, and PACS

Requirements

• ARRT certification required; ARRT MR preferred
• AHA BLS certification required (AHA is the only accepted certifying body)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a fully trained MRI technologist
• License required if applicable
• Community hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Skills in abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI imaging
• Experience with special imaging procedures such as CINE, diffusion, gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, and spectroscopy preferred
• Experience with cardiovascular MR procedures including MR Angio, MR Aortogram, and MR Cardiac studies preferred
• Proficiency in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, and starting peripheral IVs
• Management or lead experience preferred

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside 100+ miles from the hospital's service area; local candidates not accepted
• General orientation begins on Mondays with online computer-based learning modules
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines
• First-time travelers will be considered given prior MRI training and experience
• No prior placements within this health system allowed for consideration
