Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift role requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and an active MN RN license.

Details

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Every other or every third weekend required
• Float to progressive care units and neuroscience unit when not needed in critical care (CVTU, Tele, ICU, NPCU, MPCU, SPCU)
• Blocked scheduling available; specific days may be discussed during interview

Requirements

• Active Minnesota RN license in hand or proof of Minnesota license application required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Experience with telemetry, arterial lines, and ventilators required
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services to ICU patients, floating to other units as needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• Local candidates within 25 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved prior to start
• Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
• Livescan fingerprinting required in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, applicable to all candidates regardless of residency
• Travelers requesting a vaccine exemption must submit appropriate documentation
