Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a Level III trauma and teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and comfort treating both pediatric and adult ICU patients.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy department at a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:00
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required with float coverage as needed
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs and between like units required
• No on-call requirement
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active state or Compact RRT license required at submission (pending license not accepted); license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience required
• Must be comfortable working with both pediatric and adult ICU patients
• No background or license actions within the past 12 months
• Advanced EKG exam required as part of compliance for Respiratory Therapy specialty
• SSN and date of birth required at submission
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

Additional Information

• Scrub color requirement of solid black or black and white
• Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted; no holiday RTO accepted for this assignment
• Candidates requesting holiday RTO may request one major holiday only in general, though this posting does not accept holiday RTO
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• System has a 2-contract limit; travelers may extend once, then must be gone for 6 months before returning
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible for this position
• Compliance modules must be completed prior to start, estimated at 4-10 hours
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required
