Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Emergency Department setting with 1:4 patient ratios
• Evening shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 1p-1a variable
• Weekend requirement of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule cycle, or every other weekend depending on unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float required as needed within scope, including to sister locations
• Hurricane and holiday coverage may be required
• Uses Epic for documentation

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required; CPI and TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references from authority figures (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) within the last year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care within a fast-paced ED environment
• Finalized RTO must be submitted upfront and will not be accepted after an offer is made
• Contracted hours are guaranteed
• Scrubs must be solid color with matching top and bottom, no logos or prints; scrubs provided or self-supplied
• Flu vaccine required October 31 through March 31, with medical or religious exemptions only
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Previous employees or contracted travelers must wait one year after leaving an internal position before reapplying
