Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TN or compact RN license and prior travel experience.

Details

Emergency Department setting within a hospital
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Patient ratio of 1:5
Weekend shifts required as needed based on unit demands, with no fixed schedule
No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

Active RN license (TN or Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Two professional references required for consideration
Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

No RTO permitted between February 8 and March 31
First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Many travelers; regular staff very helpful; busy ER with EMS coming from multiple counties; 4:1 with dedicated charge, flow coordinator, and float staff. ED is split into in 3 sections, each with tech and secretary. responsive Security. Designated psych nurses/sitters and transportation techs for radiology and admissions.

Cons

EMR is Paragon till end of year. EPIC coming in FEBRUARY!!!
