Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit requiring ARRT certification and cath lab/EP lab experience.
Details
- Multi-specialty department including interventional radiology
- Cath lab/EP lab experience preferred
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekend requirement
- On-call requirement of 5-6 days per month including one weekend
- 30-minute meal break
- May be subject to floating between facilities within the health system if requested by unit
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of direct experience required
- Associate Degree in Applied Sciences required; BSN required
- ARRT R certification required
- BLS and ACLS through AHA required
- IL license required if applicable
- CCI RCIS and CCI RCES certifications preferred
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, left and right heart catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, and rotablator atherectomy
- Experience with electrophysiology studies including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, and pacemaker insertion
- Experience with vascular studies and procedures including carotid stenting and endovascular interventions
- Skilled in equipment set up, scrubbing, maintaining sterile field, and room circulator duties
- Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Knowledge of infection control, isolation precautions/PPE, and sterile technique
- Experience with middle adult and older adult patient populations
- Charting system experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Participate in laser-assisted procedures and ASD closures with cardiac implant closure devices
- Perform tilt table studies as needed
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate
- All requested time off must be submitted upfront as RTO cannot be added after submission
