Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab/CVU role requiring Cath Lab experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Cardiovascular Unit setting including Cath Lab and CVU
• Serves as primary/secondary circulator for diagnostic and interventional cardiology/vascular procedures, administering and monitoring moderate sedation
• Provides pre/post procedural care, recovery, cardioversions, loop recorders, and radiology procedures
• Days shift, 7:00am - 7:00pm, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week), 48-hour contract requests will be considered
• Required to float between Cath Lab and CVU
• On-call required, including late call and vascular call, with possible flex down due to case volume
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license in NC or compact required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum one year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Cath Lab experience required, pre/post procedural experience preferred, acute cardiac experience a plus

• Delivers competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director
• Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Performs patient assessment, discharge planning, and care prioritization for complex cases
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and utilizes hospital communication systems effectively
• Participates in performance improvement activities and unit goal achievement
