Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and NM or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Work in a 16-bed Intensive Care Unit with occasional Stepdown and Medical-Surgical overflow
  • Patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU and 1:3-4 for Stepdown patients
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required
  • Floating to Stepdown and Medical-Surgical departments required
  • On-call required, though rarely needed
  • Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Active driver's license and US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care in a mixed ICU and Stepdown environment with occasional Medical-Surgical overflow
  • Royal blue scrub color required
  • At least one winter holiday coverage required
  • Maximum RTO request of less than 1 week
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local travelers not accepted
  • Previous CHS perm staff employees are not eligible if employed within the last 2 years
