Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring MI licensure and at least 1 year of PCU or ICU experience.
Details
- Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical step-down unit (2 East)
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1, sometimes 3:1
- Care for patients with chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC and other central lines, ostomies, trachs, NG tubes, wound vacs, and various drains
- Manage drips and IV infusions including Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every-other-weekend (EOW) rotation required
- Epic experience preferred
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
- ICU background preferred due to high acuity of the unit
Additional Information
- Holiday coverage required for Thanksgiving and one additional winter holiday
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility may qualify for local rates
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
