Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting with at least 2 years of experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with floating between inpatient and outpatient units
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Epic EMR experience required
• Treats orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and geriatric patient populations
• Performs assessments, gait training, modalities, and equipment use including Hoyer lifts, walkers, and wheelchairs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification required
• CA state license required, license required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary conditions preferred
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation of long- and short-term goals
• May float between sister facilities within the region as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All time off requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles away to qualify for travel rate, though local candidates are accepted at a lower rate
• Former Providence permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role
