Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of relevant experience and an active IA or compact RN license.
Details
- Center for Acute Care unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts with an 1845 start time
- Every third weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required
- Uses EPIC EMR system
- Manages drips including cardiac, heparin, and insulin with some titration
Requirements
- Active RN license (IA or compact)
- BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele required
- First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of nursing experience
- EPIC EMR experience required
- One supervisory reference/performance evaluation from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Must not have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months
Additional Information
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
- Facility is a Level 3 trauma center
- Holiday coverage required, working 1-2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
- Orientation held every Monday
- Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility for travel rate eligibility
