Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care assignment requiring 2+ years of PT experience in an LTC setting and a TX or compact license.

Long Term Care setting within the Physical Therapy department
Days shift, 8-hour shifts
13-week assignment
No weekend requirements
No on-call requirements

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of PT experience in a Long Term Care setting required
TX or compact license required
License required if applicable

Additional Information

Responsibilities include patient evaluations, individualized treatment planning, ongoing reassessment, and discharge planning
Supervises and delegates to ancillary staff and students consistent with state laws and department policy
Maintains accurate and timely documentation in compliance with accreditation and insurance requirements
Communicates with patients, families, and healthcare team members to support treatment goals
Participates in patient and family education, quality improvement, and professional development activities
Maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
Functions within the scope of practice defined by the state practice act
Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
