Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a specialized Med/Surg Neuro unit requiring Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience and NH or compact RN license.
Details
- 21-bed Med-Surg Neuro unit
- Patient population includes neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, and surgical neuro/spine cases
- Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Center, the only one in Vermont and New Hampshire
- Cares for post-surgical patients including tumor resections, spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer cases
- Day/Night rotation with 36 or 48 hour weekly schedules
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact)
- BLS certification required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years
- Experience with chest tubes and other tube management
- Experience with drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
- Experience managing lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients
- Experience with trachs and laryngectomies
- Telemetry experience
- Experience managing complex wounds
- Central line care, maintenance, and blood draw experience
Additional Information
- Provide specialized nursing care within a complex neuro medical-surgical environment
- Local candidates are not permitted; candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius
