Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift assignment requiring TNCC and PALS certifications and a minimum of 2 years of ER experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Combined adult/pediatric ER handling shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
• Patient ratio of 1 RN to 5 patients, with one typically a low-acuity hall bed
• Uses Pyrix medication system and EPIC for documentation
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No floating or call requirements, though travelers may be first to float if needed

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Experience with conscious sedation preferred
• Supervisor-level references required
• Proof of flu vaccination required, with exemption requests submitted within 48 hours of signing

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a broad range of conditions including cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and trauma cases
• Manage dysrhythmias, ICP monitoring, and care of ventilated patients as needed
• Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE protocols
• Must be available for the first two weeks of the assignment
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days during the contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Previous Bronson travelers may return after 6 months, and previous permanent staff after 1 year
• Assignment offers up to 26 weeks
