Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification and PACS/PET experience for a hospital-based role covering general Nuclear Medicine, PET, and cardiac studies.
Details
- Hospital and clinic-based Nuclear Medicine department
- Covers general Nuclear Medicine, PET, and cardiac studies
- Department also performs therapies including Y90, Lutathera, and Pluvicto
- Unit doses provided daily by outside radiopharmacy
- Normal operating hours are 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Daily duties include QA, venipuncture, and scheduled exam protocol review
- Preferred experience with Epic and Cerner EMR systems
Requirements
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required at time of hire
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in specialty required
- PACS and PET experience required
- Preferred experience in ER, Adult ICU, phlebotomy, radiation planning therapy, Y90, Lutathera, and Pluvicto
- Preferred experience with Bone Scan, SPECT, Myocardial studies, Thyroid Studies, and Renal Flow procedures
- Preferred experience with GE equipment
- Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
- Preferred experience in community hospital and Trauma Level I/II settings
- References required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Local candidates within the radius will not be accepted
- Floating to hospital units or affiliate hospitals is not required unless otherwise agreed upon during interview or offer
- Background check policy allows case-by-case approval for license or background hits
- Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before returning
- First-time travelers may be considered
