Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring an active MA RN license and 2+ years of recent acute Med/Surg Tele experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Cares for a wide variety of surgical patients with an overflow of medical patients
• 12-hour night shift schedule with every other weekend required
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Floating required between all Med/Surg Tele units as needed
• No tele techs on this unit; RNs must read and interpret their own telemetry strips
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of recent acute Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass ECG/Telemetry and Medication competency tests prior to acceptance, with only one attempt allowed
• Flu vaccination required, medical exemptions only

Additional Information

• Responsible for reading and interpreting own telemetry strips due to no dedicated tele tech support on the unit
• Must complete pass/fail ECG/Telemetry and Medication testing within 48 hours of confirmation, with no remediation or re-sit opportunity
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions accepted
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
