Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring an active MA RN license and the ability to independently interpret telemetry strips.

Details

• Work in the 3 North Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital
• Care for a wide variety of surgical patients with an overflow of medical patients
• 12-hour night shift schedule, every other weekend required
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Floating required between all Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed
• Unit does not have dedicated tele techs; RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting their own telemetry strips
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing required at time of consideration
• Current CPR and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a pass/fail ECG/Telemetry test and Medications test during onboarding, administered via Zoom prior to acceptance with only one attempt allowed
• Flu vaccination required, with medical exemptions only accepted

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-based nursing care across a mixed surgical and medical patient population
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips due to the absence of dedicated tele techs on the unit
• Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for 6+ months and in good standing to be considered
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, and local candidates are not accepted
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
