Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a night shift position requiring MI licensure, 2 years of stepdown/progressive care experience, and telemetry expertise.

Details

• Stepdown unit setting with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Cares for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, and complex conditions such as ventilator and stroke patients
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of RN Stepdown/Progressive Care experience required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Perform advanced patient monitoring including vital signs and telemetry tracking
• Conduct regular assessments and initiate interventions for changes in patient condition
• Administer complex medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested
