Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring active SC or compact RN license and EPIC EMR experience in an LTAC setting.

Details

• LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required, typically every other weekend but may vary based on unit needs
• Floating required to other units and campuses based on census needs
• Uses Omnicell medication system and Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in LTAC MS/Tele, MS, or PCU required
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Additional Information

• Care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients requiring cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Responsibilities may include IV therapy, ventilator management, wound care, and medication administration
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for full travel pay, with reduced rates for 90-99.9 miles and night shift exceptions allowing 50+ miles from the contracted campus
