Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and float coverage across multiple hospital campuses.

Details

• Neuro Intensive Care Unit setting within a hospital
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Float required between ICU and PCU
• Float required among five hospital campuses (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL) based on staffing needs
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Block scheduling not permitted

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required, NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required, with recent experience within the last 12 months
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, and titration of vasoactive drips
• Neurological skills required include CVA/acute stroke management, EVD, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, and post-craniotomy/neurosurgery management
• Cardiac monitoring skills required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing, taken on a PC (iOS devices not compatible), with only 2 attempts allowed
• BLS certification must not expire within 30 days of the assignment start date
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required with no exemptions

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to neurological ICU patients, including post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery care
• Must be clean shaven prior to fit testing for unit work
• Complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests made afterward will not be accepted
• No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a reduced local rate
