Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic and screening mammograms in a critical access hospital setting, requiring ARRT-R certification and CA RT/Mammography licensure.

Details

• Critical access hospital setting within a 25-bed facility
• Day shift schedule Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Uses Hologic mammography equipment
• Dexa experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required
• Experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred
• Current RT and Mammography Technologist license required in CA (license required if applicable)
• ARRT-R certification required
• ARRT-M certification required in OR, preferred in CA and HI
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• Fluoroscopy license preferred in CA
• Venipuncture certification preferred in CA
• Mammographic Radiologic Technology (MRT) certification required

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and screening mammograms as ordered
• Assist the radiologist with intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies
• Provide patient education while promoting privacy and comfort
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines
• Produce high-quality images and complete appropriate documentation
• Obtain pertinent patient information and disseminate preparation instructions to patient care areas
• Escalate questions or challenges to senior staff as needed
• Required vaccinations must be maintained as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
