Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for outpatient oncology imaging, requiring NJ RT license, MR certification, and 1-3 years of experience.

Details

• Outpatient medical oncology imaging setting
• PM shift schedule: Sunday 7am-11pm, Monday-Wednesday 3pm-11pm
• 39 hours per week across 3 days per week
• On-call required, including holiday coverage
• May float to sister hospital as needed
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program
• NJ State RT license required if applicable
• MR certification required
• BLS certification required
• Strong critical thinking and decisive judgement skills with ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
• Ability to read and interpret documents

Additional Information

• Position patients on examining table and place appropriate coils per Radiologist protocols
• Communicate with patients via microphone during examinations
• Enter patient history, scan parameters, and positioning data into MRI equipment computer system
• Monitor patients for safety and comfort via control room window and closed circuit TV
• Review scanned images for quality and capture photographic data as needed
• Ensure staff entering magnet room are aware of metal safety hazards
• Accepts local candidates at a different pay rate
