Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Obstetrics position requiring EPIC experience and specialized OB certifications.
Details
- Obstetrics Acute unit within a community and regional teaching hospital
- Night shift schedule with 36 or 48 hour weekly options, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Floating to Bakersfield required as needed
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BLS certification required from an approved vendor
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification required
- S.T.A.B.L.E Certification required
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
- BSN preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required, with recent experience within the last 3 months
Additional Information
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients using established standards and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines
- Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnosis and care plans
- Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe healing environment
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe and humane care
- Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
- Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
- Local candidates accepted with no radius rule, and local pay rates match travel rates
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
- Candidates with a prior disciplinary action on their license will not be considered
