Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week evening shift assignment requiring at least one year of ED experience and ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Evening shift schedule, 3x12 hours, covering 15:00-03:00 or similar rotating evening hours as needed for coverage
• 36 hours per week
• Meditech charting system used; experience preferred for most units and required for Med/Surg and Rehab

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact) required in-hand
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of ED experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Experience managing dysrhythmias
• Proficient in IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Central line care and management experience
• Experience administering medications including IV vasopressors
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP management
• Experience caring for ventilated patients
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• Triage experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include emergency triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of critically ill patients
• Travel pairs accepted
• Holiday RTO will not be approved for part-time staff; RTO requests must be submitted along with application
• First-time travelers are not typically considered, though candidates with at least one year of ED experience will be reviewed
