Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Oncology Infusion outpatient clinic position requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification and prior oncology outpatient experience.

Details

• Outpatient oncology infusion clinic setting offering chemotherapy education, social work, lab, and infusion services
• Patient ratio of 6 per shift, typically managing 3-4 patients at a time
• Day shift schedule, either 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm
• 10-week contract, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
• Clinic closed on weekends and major holidays
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification required
• Minimum one year of nursing experience required
• Prior oncology outpatient clinic experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

• Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process in a hospital-affiliated outpatient setting
• Performs bedside point of care testing as part of patient care plan
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for care planning, discharge planning, and patient education
• Assesses patient/family learning needs and provides relevant education materials
• Participates in performance improvement activities and unit goal achievement
• No weekend or holiday coverage required
