Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer for a day-shift outpatient assignment requiring ARDMS or CCI RCS/RDCS certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Outpatient adult echo setting at an on-campus medical plaza
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays
• No on-call requirements
• Uses GE equipment
• Epic charting system preferred
• Performs Adult Echo, 2-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, and Portable Studies
• Conducts RVIT and RVOT assessments
• Performs calculations including Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area, and Simpson's Rule

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• ARDMS or CCI RCS or RDCS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Compact state license required if applicable, and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG
• Experience with IV starts
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract
• Returning staff may reapply after a 3-month waiting period
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the system
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the consideration process
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
