Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a CA RN license for a day-shift surgery center position requiring at least 2 years of experience.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room at a surgery center
- General OR setting with possible ambulatory and hybrid OR cases
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts (6:30am-5:00pm or 8:00am-6:30pm)
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Exposure to various surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, neurology, ENT, and podiatry
- Uses equipment such as electrosurgical units and fiber optic light sources/cords
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience required
- Charting system experience required
- Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required
- 7-year work history verification required
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing
- Compliance documents due 10 days prior to start
- Holiday coverage may apply for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning staff must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers not preferred for this role
