Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience to perform diagnostic radiography procedures in a hospital setting.

Details

• Diagnostic Imaging department at the Boardman location
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:45 AM to 6:15 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Performs diagnostic radiography procedures including patient prep, positioning, and equipment operation
• May assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and contrast media administration per state statute and institutional policy

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT registration required
• Current BLS certification required
• CRASE training required (required if assignment extends beyond 6 months)
• License required if applicable
• 2+ years of experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and assist with patient transfers over 100 lbs using proper technique or mechanical aids
• Frequent standing and walking throughout shift with occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching

Additional Information

• Responsible for corroborating patient clinical history and documenting information for use by licensed practitioners
• Prepares and instructs patients to minimize anxiety and ensure successful procedure completion
• Evaluates radiographic images for technical quality and proper identification
• Practices aseptic technique as needed during procedures
• Participates in required education for DNV programs applicable to the position
• Agency staff floated only after qualified in the receiving department, with core staff floated first per policy
• Fast-paced hospital environment with exposure to infectious materials and emergency situations requiring use of PPE
