Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient therapy setting requiring at least 1 year of relevant experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Outpatient therapy department setting
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm with variable hours
• 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
• No weekend or holiday shifts required
• Treats patients of all ages with orthopedic and neurologic conditions
• Performs objective testing for range of motion, strength, and functional task performance
• Applies taping techniques for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement
• Utilizes therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
• Uses Epic for charting and daily documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant Physical Therapy experience required
• IL PT license required if applicable
• BLS-AHA certification required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Experience with screening procedures and objective testing methods required
• Skilled in application of therapeutic modalities and taping techniques

• Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, adjusting plan of care as needed based on patient response
• Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
• Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, and discharge planning
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods
• Communicates with referring providers on patient progress and treatment recommendations
• Monitors and provides feedback on care delivered by support personnel
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates within this radius are not eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Previous Carle Health workers must complete a 6-month break in service after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning
