Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level I trauma center with a neuro thrombectomy program, requiring 2+ years of IR experience and Level II trauma experience.

Details

• Level I trauma hospital with a neuro thrombectomy program
• Interventional Radiology unit
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call requirement of one night per week and every 4th or 5th weekend
• Must be able to work weekends independently
• Uses Philips Azurion equipment
• Epic charting system required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• AHA BLS, ARRT(R), and ARRT(VI) certifications required
• Registered Interventional Radiology Technologist license required if applicable
• Level II trauma experience required, Level I trauma experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Skilled in venous access, central line care, and PICC line management
• Experience with angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and IVC filter placement
• Experience with vascular studies including carotid stenting, dialysis graft interventions, and TIPS procedures
• Experience with neurological procedures including thrombolysis/thrombectomy and carotid angiography
• Experience with genitourinary procedures including nephrostomy and biliary drainage
• Proficient with fluoroscopy and PACS equipment
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and rapid response/code team protocols

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment set up, prepping access sites, room circulating, and scrub duties maintaining sterile fields
• Facility-specific modules must be completed within the first week of assignment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Accepts local candidates within 75 miles of the facility
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during select weeks
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
