Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Level I Emergency Department Holding unit position requiring 2 years of acute care/MS tele experience and ACLS certification.

Details

  • Work in the ER Holding unit of a Level I Emergency Department
  • Care for patients admitted and awaiting bed availability, either in a designated area or hallway
  • May be assigned to an acute care area if no patients are being boarded, though this is rare
  • Patient ratio of 6:1
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours, 18:45 to 7:15
  • Every other weekend and some holidays required
  • Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
  • Open to block scheduling accommodations

Requirements

  • Active TN RN license or compact license in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care/MS tele experience required
  • Prior Cerner charting experience required
  • Two references required for consideration
  • Pending licenses not accepted

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care to ED holding patients awaiting inpatient bed placement
  • First-time travelers considered based on relevant previous experience
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Previous employees eligible to return
  • Travel pairs allowed
