Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with orthopedic experience for a night shift position requiring a MO or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit with an orthopedic focus
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Uses Epic charting system
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with ortho trauma, total joint replacement, and peripheral nerve block catheters
• Skills in IV therapy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration preferred
• Experience with tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and chest tube care preferred
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management experience preferred
• Wound care/wound vac experience preferred
• 1 year of charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Care for orthopedic, cardiovascular, and general surgical patients in a Med/Surg setting
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
