Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring Level I trauma experience and ARRT certification.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department at a teaching hospital with Level I trauma designation
- 4x10 hour day shifts (7:30 AM-6:00 PM) or 5x8 hour shifts (7:30 AM-4:00 PM), schedule to be discussed during interview
- One weekday call per week and one weekend call every 2 months
- Closer parking spot available for on-call shifts
- Uses Epic EMR and Siemens equipment with PACS system
- Must float within scope of practice as needed
- 50-mile radius rule applies
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of comprehensive IR experience required
- Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
- ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
- VA license required if applicable; pending license accepted but must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date
- Epic EMR experience required
- Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience required
- BSN preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Proficiency in abdominal/pelvic, vascular, genitourinary, and neurological IR procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, biopsy, and drainage procedures
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac stent placement and PTCA
- Paracentesis and thoracentesis experience preferred
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including chest tube placement, IVC filter placement, mesenteric angiogram, nephrostomy, and ureteral stent placement
- Specialty-specific orientation modules completed during onboarding and recorded in Workday
- Previous UVA employees must have a 1-year separation from staff or internal/external travel roles with leadership approval
- External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return once this limit is reached
- Maximum of 40 hours RTO per 13-week contract, with all time off disclosed prior to submission
- Any pre-start vacation plans between sign date and start date must be disclosed to plan an appropriate start date
