Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac/Vascular IR role requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT-VI certification.

Details

  • Provides imaging support in the OR for vascular IR procedures within a Hybrid OR and Interventional Radiology setting
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Rotating call every 4th week
  • 13-week assignment
  • 50-mile radius requirement

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Interventional Radiology/Cardiac IR
  • ARRT-VI and BLS certifications required
  • VA state license required (license required if applicable, pending accepted at submission but must be in hand before start)
  • Epic experience required
  • Experience with vascular studies and procedures including angioplasty, endovascular interventions, EVAR, TEVAR, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography
  • Experience prepping access sites and using vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Experience with Siemens equipment and ultrasound
  • BSN preferred
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Actively participates in the entire case workflow rather than solely operating equipment
  • Pulls inventory and orders cases in EPIC prior to procedures
  • Runs the table and controls during cases
  • Performs 3D spins and works with fusion technology
  • Films and post-processes images throughout procedures
  • Documents and adds inventory used during cases via HI-IQ
  • Works closely with vascular surgeons, OR team, and other procedural staff
  • May utilize a C-arm to support simple surgical cases such as Impellas and cystoscopies alongside X-ray staff during downtime
  • Must float within scope of practice as needed
  • Familiarity with Hybrid OR procedures and ability to work independently are important
  • Not eligible if previously reached 365 total assignment days as a traveler with this facility
  • Previous permanent staff or internal/external travelers require 1-year separation and leadership approval to return
