Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN with a CA RN license for a day-shift assignment requiring prior travel experience and strong IV skills.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit supporting Nuclear Medicine, PET, and RLT services
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:3 with an average daily census of 10
• Works with both inpatient and outpatient populations
• May float within scope between two medical plaza locations
• Uses Epic for charting
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (EMSA not accepted)
• BSN required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Excellent communication and triaging skills required
• Proficient in IV therapy, starting and maintaining IVs, and IV infusion pump management
• Experience with care and maintenance of implanted ports and PICC lines
• Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including technologists and attending physicians covering NM, PET, and RLT services
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or employees must complete a 12-month separation and clearance through Talent Management before reapplying
• Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible
• Recommended to keep RTO under 7 days per assignment
