Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift float pool role requiring BLS certification and Epic experience across a wide range of acute care units.

Details

  • SRO Float Pool position floating across various med/surg and telemetry units based on staffing needs
  • Potential units include Geriatric/Palliative Care, Orthopedics & Trauma, Medicine, Surgical, Neurology, Epilepsy & Stroke, Acute Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Heme/Onc, Solid Organ Transplant, Thoracic Cardiovascular, Digestive Health, Acute Care Special Pathogens Unit, and ED Boarders
  • Does not include ICU or IMU critical care/intermediate care float assignments
  • Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
  • Can offer 36 or 48 hour weekly schedules
  • Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
  • 13-week contract length
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required, including 2 of the 3 winter holidays
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license required (pending license accepted for submission)
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must adhere to facility float policy

Additional Information

  • Float across multiple acute care nursing units based on staffing needs and clinical experience
  • Up to 40 hours of requested time off can be approved during the contract
  • 12 months must pass before a former traveler can return to this facility
