Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with 3+ years of diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience for a 13-week contract requiring a PA license or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Day shift schedule (5x8 hours), 7:30a-4:00p with potential to move to 9:30a-6:00p
- 30 minute unpaid lunch
- On-call required 1 night per week and every 4th or 5th weekend (Friday 1800 to Monday 0730)
- 13-week assignment length
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active PA RN license or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of experience required, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience
- Epic charting system experience required
- PA fingerprints and Childline clearance required, with results from within 12 months of start
- Valid state license or certification required at time of consideration
- Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration
- Pass/fail clinical exam required with a maximum of 3 attempts
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and scrub duties for cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, TAVR, Impella insertion, and right/left heart catheterizations
- Manage procedural sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and sheath removal
- Experience with vascular closure devices and topical hemostasis preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Scrubs are provided
- Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; RTO requested after submission will not be accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted within a 50 mile radius at a different rate
