Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment at a community hospital requiring a PA or Compact RN license and 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• Work in the ICU of a small community hospital with no intermediate level of care floor
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Floating required to other units when there is no need in the ICU
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• EPIC charting system used
• Wide range of ICU skills utilized including ventilator management, CRRT, IABP, EVD, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips

Requirements

• Active PA state license or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC charting system required
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration
• PA fingerprints required and must be completed within 1 week of signing, with clearance results from within the past 12 months
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Pass/Fail clinical exam required for clearance, with a maximum of 3 attempts

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing across medical, surgical, neuro, and trauma ICU patient populations
• Care for patients requiring advanced interventions such as IABP, CRRT, EVD, and ventilator management
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and cannot be added afterward
• Interview availability of 3-5 days should be provided to prioritize scheduling
