Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring KY or compact licensure and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Patient ratios of 7:1 on Med/Surg and 5:1 on Telemetry
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling accommodated
• Uses Meditech charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY state or compact) in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 1-2 years of recent experience preferred
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Two supervisory references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide Med/Surg and telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, wound care, and respiratory support
• Skills utilized may include tracheostomy care, chest tube management, PICC line management, and central line blood draws
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous staff members are eligible to return
• Travel pairs are allowed
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
