Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a level 2 trauma teaching hospital, requiring an active NY RN license and a minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience.
Details
- Works in the Invasive Cardio Lab of a 349-bed acute care teaching hospital that is a level 2 trauma center
- Supports cath lab patients through admissions, recovery, and discharge
- Participates in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including complex PCI
- Performs IV therapy, medication administration, triage, wound cleaning, phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, cardiac monitoring, and use of restraints
- Day shift schedule of 12.5 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- On-call availability preferred
- Uses Cerner EMR system
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab procedure experience required
- Cath lab experience with admission, recovery, and discharge procedures preferred
- Cath and EP pre/post experience preferred
- Two professional references from previous managers or above, rated standard or above average, from within the past year in current discipline/specialty
Additional Information
- Candidates residing within 60 miles may be considered local at a reduced rate
- Prior Northwell or Nuvance Health employees are subject to an eligibility review process that may extend processing time
- Facility operates on a Saturday 11:00 PM to Saturday 11:00 PM workweek
- Travelers will complete required online modules prior to assignment start
- Clinical evaluations are conducted during the assignment to support traveler performance
