Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a fast-paced Emergency Department on night shift, requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care ED experience and multiple specialty certifications.
Details
- Work in a 52-bed Emergency Services unit staffed with charge nurses, RNs, techs, unit clerks, physicians, and midlevel providers per pod
- Patient ratios average 3:1, with low acuity at 5:1 and team nursing approach for pediatric patients
- Uses Alaris pump equipment
- Meditech/CPN EMR system used, prior experience preferred
- 13-week assignment on night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Perform IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ED experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI Blue card
- ENPC certification preferred
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- Experience working in large facilities or busy metropolitan areas preferred
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Professional reference required
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

- Fast-paced ED environment requiring ability to adapt quickly and work independently
- Expectation to scan patient medications at every administration
- Team consists of a young, diverse staff accustomed to a quick learning curve
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
