Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a KS or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent hospital ED experience.
Details
- Emergency Services department with 52 beds and 134 staff
- Day shift team includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod
- Patient ratios average 3:1, with 5:1 for low acuity and team nursing for pediatric patients
- Uses Alaris infusion equipment
- EMR: Meditech/CPN
- Shift schedule is 7A-7P
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital Emergency Department experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI Blue Card
- ENPC certification preferred
- Meditech experience preferred
- Experience in large facility/area settings preferred
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Professional references required
Additional Information
- Perform IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care
- Scan patient medications at every administration per unit policy
- Fast-paced ER environment suited for adaptable, quick-learning staff
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify
- No local candidates will be considered
