Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1+ year of OT experience and prior LTC or Rehab experience.

Long Term Care facility setting
Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 hours per week guaranteed workweek
No weekend requirements
No on-call requirements
13-week assignment

Requirements

Current, active MA OT license required, if applicable
Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
LTC or Rehab setting experience required
Compact license not accepted
1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders
Develop and adjust individualized plans of care using evidence-based practice and standardized assessments
Provide rehabilitative treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices
Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services or make referrals as needed
Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
Communicate patient progress and treatment plans with supervisors and care team
Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate clinical documentation
Accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and required trainings
Supervise OT assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice standards and code of ethics
No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
