Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a MedSurg/PCU night shift position at a 25-bed critical access hospital, requiring experience across multiple units and flexibility to float.

Details

• 25-bed critical access hospital setting
• MedSurg/PCU/Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule
• Required to flex and float between MedSurg, PCU, and Telemetry departments as needed

Requirements

• Active WA RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Experienced in MedSurg, PCU, and Telemetry nursing care
• Knowledge of safe operation of MedSurg/PCU/Telemetry equipment

Additional Information

• Provide patient and family education using appropriate teaching methods
• Implement patient safety measures including side rails, restraints, and safe equipment use in accordance with restraint policy
• Follow infection control and isolation procedures using standard precautions
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and responses
• Complete and accurate change-of-shift reporting and interdepartmental communication
• Report critical lab values to physicians in a timely manner per policy
• Maintain and restock emergency carts, room, and general supplies
• Minimal RTO available due to holiday season coverage needs
